Halo ODST (360)

Halo ODST was only conceived because the team that was going to make Halo Chronicles had nothing to do, this shows.

Although Fire Fight mode is enjoyable, the game is thoroughly mediocre and almost just a piece of DLC for Halo 3.

Halo ODST should be skipped and instead wait for reach or even carry on playing Halo 3, there really is not much difference.

Halo ODST is very disappointing and is bad news for Xbox 360 owners.

Halo ODST (360)

Halo 3 ODST takes place in the 26th century, where humans under the command of the United Nations Space Command (UNSC) are locked in a war with an alien races known as the Covenant. The story although somewhat short (4-8 Hrs depending on your skill level and style of play) is done exceptionally well.  Although Halo ODST gameplay has a strong resemblance to halo 2, you are not as strong and resistant to damage as the master chief (all other halo games) because you are playing the role of an ODST (orbital drop shock troopers). Instead of the Master Chief's damage-absorbing energy shield, ODST uses a stamina mechanic. After taking damage, the screen flashes red; the player regains stamina by resting. If the player receives damage past their stamina threshold, their health takes a hit, health however, doesn't automatically replenish and you will need to find a health pack to regain your strength.  Not doing so will end in death to your character and being reset to your previous save point or check point.

Firefight, provides loads of fun with friends and requires you to fight off waves of Covenant troops of varying skill and disciplines.  To add to the twist in firefight, Halo skulls add random difficulties from enemy health upgrades to enemies lobbing grenades constantly at you.  This feature will provide months of replayability.

The Halo ODST package also ships with all of the previous Halo 3 map packs and the Multi-player online features the are in the original halo 3 disks (excluding campaign).  Which means if you want to play Halo 3 online match making you will not need to use your Halo 3 disk, just use the second disk in the ODST package.  The fact that the maps packs are included has upset some of the diehard Halo 3 fans because they have already purchased these maps, and feel that they have been ripped off.  Although, I feel that the package is worth the 60 price even without the halo 3 map packs.  In addition to the Halo 3 map packs, there are also 3 new never before seen maps included with the package

Overall this is an Exceptional game and I would recommend it to anyone that already owns halo 3 and would HIGHLY recommend it to those out there that don't own Halo 3 or the Maps.
